Born on October 6, 1960 in Stayton, Oregon, Jay Baller (Jay Scott Baller) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 6 year career. Baller broke into the bigs on September 19, 1982 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 3.46 ERA in 52 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.
