==Biography==Jason Grimsley is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher. Over the course of his career, he played with the Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, California Angels, New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals, Baltimore Orioles, and Arizona Diamondbacks

On June 6, 2006, Grimsley was the subject of a Federal raid, looking for evidence that he was a distributor of performance-enhancing drugs [1]. He confessed to using HGH, steroids, and amphetamines during the 2003 season, and was suspended for 50 games for violating the Major League Baseball steroid policy on June 12, 2006 [2]. He was released by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and has not returned to Major League Baseball.

There is some disagreement on what was Jason Grimsley's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1999, when he posted a 3.60 ERA. However, others believe that it was 2001, when he posted a 3.02 ERA and struck out 61 batters.

Grimsley was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. The report states that, after Grimsley met former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski in 2000, Grimsley purchased at least fourteen orders of performance-enhancing drugs. These drugs included HGH, Deca-Durabolin, and diet pills and were bought between 2000 and 2004, for a total of $35,400. Grimsley also discussed steroids with former Yankees trainer Brian McNamee, allegedly showing McNamee a bottle of 5mg Winstrol tablets. The report also goes on to detail the evidence that lead to Grimsley being suspended in 2006 for violating MLB's steroid policy.

Grimsley declined to speak with investigators for the Mitchell Report.
