James Alger Wilson

Born on February 20, 1922 in San Diego, California, Jim Wilson (James Alger Wilson) played for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Braves, Milwaukee Braves, Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 12 year career. Wilson broke into the bigs on April 18, 1945 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.30 ERA in 144.1 innings pitched in 1945, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Jim Wilson's best season was 1957, when he posted a 3.48 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 100 batters.
