Jake Plummer Retires, Fantasy Leagues Cheer

12
Vote

In a move that has analysts increasing their projections for all league totals in fantasy points for next season, quarterback Jake Plummer has announced his retirement after being traded from the Denver Broncos to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite a decent 7-4 record last year, Plummer was benched in favor of rookie Jay Cutler for the final 5 games of the season.

He has every right to retire when he wants. THe only thing that kept him in hte game was starting, and beyond that, he doesn't want to play. HE wouldn't be battling for the starting job, that would be Garcia's or Simms'.

Mmm thats very interesting... Garcia vs. Plummer winner gets to run the Bucs. To be honest Im not sure who would win out in that battle. I know Garcia has talent and caught lightning in a bottle last year with Philly, but there is a reason he has been a journeyman QB. Not sure that over 16 games he gives you anything that is that special over Plummer.

Sayonara to one of the greatest "wasted potential" story this side of Ryan Leaf and without a doubt the best "creepy white guy" beard in the NFL.

You cant put Plummer and Leaf into the same catagory. Leaf barely survived 4 NFL seasons. Plummer has made multiple trips to the post season.

You know as well as I do that he had the best beard in the NFL, bar none. Granted, it doesn't hold a candle to Lanny McDonald's facial growth in the 89 playoffs, but still... It was a rockin beard.

I love denver and i am from florida. I'm happy he went there, just not happy about his retirement. Plummer is 32, with an arm and speed. One off season isn't terrible compared to his other season's. Due to his age I give him a season away from football that I believe he needs and then he will come back and be the playoff quarterback he is. And BigPPup, what the hell kind of name is that? Sounds homosexual to me. And you are the bitch for not doing your research before posting on the site trying to sound like a hardass. So go do you're research and then post on this website you faggot!

Dude, what the FUCK does homosexuality have to do with his comment? He failed to research before posting so that means he likes other men? You are the reason other countries look at U.S. citizens like backwards, hillbilly, red-neck, incestuous, child molesting, pick-up truck driving, John Cougar Mellencamp loving douche bags. You should go back and get your high school diploma before you're ever allowed to post again. That being said you ignorant fuck, Plummer is the fucking man for playing ball for so many years, making a ton of money and stepping away from the game on his terms. In a day and age where hall of famers like Jerry Rice suit up way past their prime, it's refreshing to see people accomplish a variety of different things during their time on this earth. I mean, honestly you've probably worked at, at least seven different gas stations in the past 6 years, so you can certainly appreciate the need for variety.
