Born on May 31, 1943 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, Jackie Brown (Jackie Gene Brown) played for the Washington Senators, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians and Montreal Expos over the course of his 7 year career. Brown broke into the bigs on July 2, 1970 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 3.95 ERA in 57 innings pitched in 1970, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Jackie Brown's best season was 1974, when he posted a 3.57 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 134 batters.
