Jack Stroud (John Stroud) was born on January 29, 1928 in Fresno, California. After going to high school at Lowell (San Francisco, CA), Stroud attended the University of Tennessee. Stroud made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 12 year career.

Most people believe that 1953 was Jack Stroud's best year.
