Jack Bolling (John Edward Bolling) was born on February 20, 1917 in Mobile, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on June 10, 1939 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .289 with 3 home runs and 13 RBI. Bolling played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 2 year career.
