Is 1-0 The New Trend For United?

I am absolutely exuberent with United's 1-0 win at home against Roma. Rooney who hasn't scored for a long time answered his critics with a sublime goal. All the matches that United have one in the premier league this season have been 1-0 barring the win against Chelsea (2-0). It doesn't stop there, even the two rounds of Champions League saw United win 1-0. I don't care as long as they keep winning. In other Champions League action, Lyon continued their poor run by getting a hammering at home by Rangers 3-0. Lyon have now conceded 6 goals in their two opening matches. Barcelona were comfortable 2-0 winners away to Stuttgart. Sporting Lisbon beat Dynamo Kiev away 2-1. Moscow drew at home to Fenerbahce 2-2 and Inter beat PSV with nine men 2-0. Sevilla got a 4-2 win at home against Slavia and Arsenal trhanks to a Van Persie goal won away Bucharest.

Hey a win is a win, in the end it is results that matter. From the replays I saw it looked like Rooney was on a rampage, if his form continues to improve United will surely score more than once a match.

I heard a report last night that the Lyon players are on the verge of revolt against their manager.

And I am of course over the moon delighted with the Gunners result from Bucharest.

I think as long as we keep the attitude the big wins will come. It will be interesting to see how arsenal does agaist some big teams--us, liverpool, chelsea--those are the games that will be the 6 pointers. I hope that we hammer wigan this weekend. It's a derby of sorts, so anythng can happen.

also, nani looked dangerous last night--if not a little under-sized. Anderson did well too, and Tevez was superb. I hope that means that we will be scoring more freely soon.

For the American national team supporter, DeMarcus Beasley has been very good for Rangers in Champions League. He scored the third goal of the game yesterday and he finally showed some finish for once!

He also delivered a nice corner that resulted in a Rangers goal as well.

A win is win. It would be nice to see a few more goals.
