Ira Hillary (Ira McDonald Hillary) was born on November 13, 1962 in Edgefield, South Carolina. After going to high school at Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC), Hillary attended the University of South Carolina. Hillary made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1989 was Ira Hillary's best year.
