Hughie Hearne (Hugh Joseph Hearne) was born on April 18, 1873 in Troy, New York. He made his Major League debut on August 29, 1901 for the Brooklyn Superbas. In 1902, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 0 home runs and 28 RBI. Hearne played for the Brooklyn Superbas for his entire 3 year career.
