Hugh Taylor (Hugh Wilson Taylor) was born on July 6, 1923 in Wynne, Arkansas. After going to high school at Wynne (AR), Taylor attended Oklahoma City University, Tulane University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Taylor made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1952 was Hugh Taylor's best year, as he hauled in 41 receptions, had 961 receiving yards and caught 12 TD passes.
