Hugh High (Hugh Jenkin High) was born on October 24, 1887 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1913 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .230 with 0 home runs and 16 RBI. High played for the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees over the course of his 6 year career.
