Howie Tipton (Howard Durward Tipton) was born on April 19, 1911 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Belmont (Los Angeles, CA), Tipton attended the University of Southern California. Tipton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1933 was Howie Tipton's best year.
