Howie Slater (Howard Whitman Slater) was born on March 9, 1903 in Deer Park, Washington. After going to high school at Deer Park (WA), Slater attended Washington State Universtiy. Slater made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Milwaukee Badgers. He played for the Milwaukee Badgers for his entire 1 year career.
