Howie Kriss (Howard Edwin Kriss) was born on June 2, 1907 in Cleveland, Ohio. After going to high school at Shaw (Cleveland, OH), Kriss attended Ohio State University. Kriss made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Cleveland Indians. He played for the Cleveland Indians for his entire 1 year career.
