Howard Wakefield (Howard John Wakefield) was born on April 2, 1884 in Bucyrus, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1905 for the Cleveland Naps. In 1906, his rookie year, he hit .280 with 1 home run and 21 RBI. Wakefield played for the Cleveland Naps and Washington Senators over the course of his 3 year career.
