Howard Freigau (Howard Earl Freigau) was born on August 1, 1902 in Dayton, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1922 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1923, his rookie year, he hit .263 with 1 home run and 35 RBI. Freigau played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Robins and Boston Braves over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Howard Freigau's best season was 1925, when he hit for a .299 average and knocked in 71 runs.
