Houston Ridge (Houston Robert Ridge) was born on July 18, 1944 in Madera, California. After going to high school at Madera (CA), Ridge attended Reedley College and San Diego State University. Ridge made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Houston Ridge's best year.
