Hooks Cotter (Harvey Louis Cotter) was born on May 22, 1900 in Holden, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1922 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1924, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 4 home runs and 33 RBI. Cotter played for the Chicago Cubs for his entire 1 year career.
