Homer Jones (Homer Carroll Jones) was born on February 18, 1941 in Pittsburg, Texas. After going to high school at Douglass (Pittsburg, TX), Jones attended Texas Southern University. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1967 was Homer Jones's best year, as he hauled in 49 receptions, had 1209 receiving yards and caught 13 TD passes.
