Hershel Giddens (Hershel O. Giddens) was born on November 25, 1914 in Ringgold, Louisiana. Giddens attended Louisiana Institute of Technology. Giddens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Boston Yanks and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 2 year career.
