Herb Roton (Herbert Carl Roton) was born on August 28, 1913 in Montgomery, Alabama. After going to high school at (Montgomery, AL), Roton attended Auburn University. Roton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
