Hayden Epstein (Hayden Scott Epstein) was born on November 16, 1980 in San Diego, California. He attended High School at Torrey Pines (Cardiff, CA),

College

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Epstein spent four seasons as a Wolverine and was good on 26 of 42 field goal attempts including four field goals of 50 yards or more. A candidate for the Lou Groza (NCAA’s top place-kicker) and Ray Guy (NCAA’s best punter) Awards in 2001, Hayden has also excelled in the classroom, garnering Big Ten Conference academic honours.

Pro

2002:

Epstein was selected in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was waived by the Jaguars in October and was signed by the Minnesota Vikings where he finished the season.

2004:

Epstein did not play in 2003, but was signed by the Denver Broncos and allocated to the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe in 2004. He was released by the Broncos in September.

2005:

Epstein signed with the Eskimos in 2005 as a free agent on August 16 and played in four games before being released on September 29. He made eight of 12 field goal attempts and also punted 16 times for an average of 41 yards and had 12 kickoffs averaging 54.8 yards. He did not play in 2006 or 2007.

2008:

He was signed as a free agent by the Edmonton Eskimos in February.
