Harry Niles (Herbert Clyde Niles) was born on September 10, 1880 in Buchanan, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on April 24, 1906 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1906, his rookie year, he hit .229 with 2 home runs and 31 RBI. Niles played for the St. Louis Browns, New York Highlanders, Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Naps over the course of his 5 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Harry Niles's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1906, when he stole 30 bases. However, others believe that it was 1909, when he stole 27 bases.
