Born on July 12, 1888 in San Francisco, California, Harry Krause (Harry William Krause) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Cleveland Naps over the course of his 5 year career. Krause broke into the bigs on April 20, 1908 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 1.39 ERA in 213 innings pitched in 1909, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Harry Krause's best season was 1909, when he posted a 1.39 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 139 batters.
