Harry Haines (Harry Jepson Haines) was born on February 25, 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Germantown (Philadelphia, PA), Haines attended Colgate University. Haines made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Staten Island Stapletons and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 2 year career.
