Born on November 19, 1898 in Asheville, North Carolina, Harry Courtney (Henry Seymour Courtney) played for the Washington Senators and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 4 year career. Courtney broke into the bigs on September 13, 1919 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.74 ERA in 188 innings pitched in 1920, his rookie year.
