Harry Burrus (Harry Clifton Burrus, Jr.) was born on April 6, 1921 in Slaton, Texas. After going to high school in Big Spring, TX, Burrus attended Hardin-Simmons University. Burrus made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the New York Yankees. He played for the New York Yankees and Chicago Rockets over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1946 was Harry Burrus's best year.
