Hank Schenz (Henry Leonard Schenz) was born on April 11, 1919 in New Richmond, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1946 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1948, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 1 home run and 14 RBI. Schenz played for the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 6 year career.
