Born on January 16, 1911 in Santa Monica, California, Hank McDonald (Henry Monroe McDonald) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 2 year career. McDonald broke into the bigs on April 16, 1931 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.71 ERA in 70.1 innings pitched in 1931, his rookie year.
