Hank Bartos (Henry Bartos) was born on May 20, 1913 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at Vandergrift (PA), Bartos attended the University of North Carolina. Bartos made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
