Hank Autry (Melvin Henry Autry) was born on May 2, 1947 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After going to high school at Hattiesburg (MS), Autry attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Autry made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time. Autry also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1969 was Hank Autry's best year.
