Hal Mitchell (Harold Dwane Mitchell) was born on August 11, 1930. After going to high school at Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA), Mitchell attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Mitchell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
