Hal Epps (Harold Franklin Epps) was born on March 26, 1914 in Athens, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1938 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1944, his rookie year, he hit .244 with 0 home runs and 16 RBI. Epps played for the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 4 year career.
