Greg Sampson (Ralph Gregory Sampson) was born on December 25, 1950 in Bellingham, Washington. After going to high school at R.A. Millikan (Long Beach, CA), Sampson attended Stanford University. Sampson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 7 year career.
