Gordy Coleman (Gordon Calvin Coleman) was born on July 5, 1934 in Rockville, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on September 19, 1959 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .271 with 6 home runs and 32 RBI. Coleman played for the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Gordy Coleman's best season was 1961, when he slugged 26 home runs, hit for a .287 average and knocked in 87 runs.
