Gordon Banks (Gordon Gerard Banks) was born on March 12, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. After going to high school at Loyola (Los Angeles, CA), Banks attended Stanford University. Banks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1987 was Gordon Banks's best year.
