Glenn Dobbs (Glenn Dobbs, Jr.) was born on July 12, 1920 in McKinney, Texas. After going to high school at Frederick (OK), Dobbs attended the University of Tulsa. Dobbs made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Los Angeles Dons and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1948 was Glenn Dobbs's best year, as he threw for 2403 yards, tossed 21 TDs, ran for 539 yards, ran in 4 TDs and had a 49.1 yard punt average.
