Glenn Beckert (Glenn Alfred Beckert) was born on October 12, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1965 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1965, his rookie year, he hit .239 with 3 home runs and 30 RBI. Beckert played for the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Glenn Beckert's best season was 1968, when he hit for a .294 average.
