Gino Marchetti (Gino John Marchetti) was born on January 2, 1927 in Smithers, West Virginia. After going to high school at Antioch (CA), Marchetti attended Modesto Junior College and the University of San Francisco. Marchetti made his professional debut in the NFL in 1952 with the Dallas Texans. He played for the Baltimore Colts and Dallas Texans over the course of his 14 year career.
Most people believe that 1963 was Gino Marchetti's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
