Gill Byrd (Gill Arnette Byrd) was born on February 20, 1961 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Lowell (San Francisco, CA), Byrd attended San Jose State University. Byrd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1983 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1984 was Gill Byrd's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
