Gil Robinson (Gilmer George Robinson) was born on April 18, 1910 in Spencer, North Carolina. After going to high school at Spencer (NC), Robinson attended Catawba College. Robinson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
