Get rid of the homefield advantage in the World Series stipulation!!

I know I sound like a broken record as I've stated my displeasure concerning this rule many times. But it is seriously time to get rid of this rule...now. We need to make our voices heard. Homefield advantage in the World Series should go to the team with the best regular season record just like the NBA, NHL and the NFL conference championships. This stipulation hasn't made sense to me from the very beginning. It was a response by Bud Selig to the All-Star game tie in Milwaukee. If there is anyone {and i seriously doubt this} that cares to debate me on why this stipulation should exist in the All-Star game, please feel free to do so.

Better yet, get rid of the All-Star Game altogether. (And not just in Major League Baseball, but I digress.) The very concept is basically an anachronism now. The original purpose of MLB's All-Star Game was to showcase the stars from one league in the ballparks of the other league in an era that didn't have television. TV made the All-Star Game redundant in that respect, and interleague play made it even more so. Now the only reason it has left to exist is as a cash cow. That's the real reason Bud Selig came up with the homefield-advantage stipulation - as a way to keep the sacred cash cow fat and productive.

There is no debate, because everyone but Selig agrees with you. It's a sham, really. Basing home-field on the winner of the All-Star Game is almost as stupid as deciding the World Cup Final on PK's...

I may have said this... If we did launch a petition and other people saw it, it would be great advertisement/publicity.

If we don't have the world series homefieled advantage determined by the All-Star game, it should be moved to the offseason. Having players risk injury in a meaningless exhibition game in the middle of a penant race is totally ridiculous.

Shouldn't this be under opinions? But I do agree, you do not want to have another Pete Rose/ Ray Fosse incident at home plate. Fosse was never the same.
