Gerald Carter (Gerald Louis Carter) was born on June 19, 1957 in Bryan, Texas. After going to high school at Bryan (TX), Carter attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University and Tyler Junior College. Carter made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the New York Jets. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1984 was Gerald Carter's best year, as he hauled in 60 receptions, had 816 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
