George Yeager (George J. Yeager) was born on June 4, 1873 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 25, 1896 for the Boston Beaneaters. In 1898, his rookie year, he hit .267 with 3 home runs and 24 RBI. Yeager played for the Boston Beaneaters, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cleveland Blues, New York Giants and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 6 year career.
