George Vergara (George Aloysius Vergara) was born on March 18, 1901 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Clason Point Military Academy (Bronx, NY), Vergara attended Fordham University and the University of Notre Dame. Vergara made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 1 year career.
