George Speth (George Carl Speth) was born on July 25, 1918 in Buffalo, New York. After going to high school at Seneca (Buffalo, NY), Speth attended Murray State University. Speth made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
