Born on November 2, 1869 in West New Brighton, New York, George Sharrott (George Oscar Sharrott) played for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms for his entire 2 year career. Sharrott broke into the bigs on July 27, 1893 with the Brooklyn Bridegrooms, and put up a 5.87 ERA in 95 innings pitched in 1893, his rookie year.
