George Bolan (George Henry Bolan) was born on April 30, 1897 in Highwood, Illinois. After going to high school at Deerfield (IL), Bolan attended Purdue University. Bolan made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Chicago Staleys. He played in the APFA for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Staleys the entire time. Bolan also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time.
