Gene Selawski (Eugene Frank Selawski) was born on November 28, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio. After going to high school at Cleveland (OH), Selawski attended Purdue University. Selawski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 2 year NFL career.Selawski also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1961 was Gene Selawski's best year.
